Chatham announces beat writers for 2024 season
CHATHAM, Mass. — The Chatham Athletic Association announced additions to its Media Team Tuesday.

Cooper Andrews and Zak Wolf, two rising juniors in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, will serve as Chatham’s beat writers for the upcoming Cape Cod Baseball League season.

"We're thrilled to bring Cooper and Zak into the Chatham family and look forward to their chronicling of Jeremy Sheetinger's first season as Anglers manager," CAA Media Consultant Dan D'Uva said. "Cooper and Zak's passion for journalism and baseball will bring us insightful game coverage and entertaining human-interest pieces."

Andrews and Wolf will write stories for Chatham’s website, report news on the club’s social media platforms, edit game-day stat sheets and shape other publications. Their content will include opponent previews and game stories for each Anglers matchup along with feature stories throughout the season.

"Cooper and Zak are strong representatives of the Newhouse School's renowned journalism program," D'Uva said. "Through their experience at The Daily Orange, they've proven to be diligent reporters, creative writers and smart editors. It will be a treat to follow the season through their articles."

Andrews and Wolf join broadcasters Andrew Selover and Jack Smith on Chatham’s 2024 media team. The Anglers’ first game is Saturday, June 15, at Wareham.

Cooper Andrews | Syracuse University

Andrews, from Naperville, Illinois, is a rising junior at Syracuse University studying magazine, news and digital journalism. He is the managing editor for The Daily Orange — SU’s student-run newspaper — and is currently a beat writer covering Syracuse men’s lacrosse. Andrews has formerly covered SU women’s basketball, men’s soccer softball and more. He used to serve as an assistant sports editor and a copy editor at The Daily Orange. In his free time, Andrews enjoys to travel, play golf and attend sporting events with his father. He is a lifelong Chicago sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks. Andrews is also an avid movie watcher, as some of his favorite films include “The Dark Knight” and “Goodfellas.” This summer will be Andrews’s first as a beat writer for the A’s.

Zak Wolf | Syracuse University

Wolf, a Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, native is a sophomore studying magazine, news and digital journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Wolf is the sports editor at The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper at SU and covers the men’s lacrosse team. In the past, he was an assistant digital editor and covered the men’s soccer and women’s basketball for The Daily Orange. In his free time, Wolf enjoys watching his favorite professional sports teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers along with Premier League club Arsenal. Wolf is a soccer enthusiast after playing for most of his childhood. He also enjoys going to his family’s beach house every summer in Margate, New Jersey. This summer will be Wolf’s first as a beat writer for the A’s.
